Word of God

I received this Word today from Elaine Tavolacci, a prophetess of God.  In my opinion, this is a spoken Truth right from the heart of God.  The Word of God is the key to every understanding we can have about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.  Studying the Word must take first priority in our lives.  It is not just hearing the Word that is important, it is in the doing of the Word that Jesus is established in us.  Jesus is the Word so when we do the Word, Jesus' ways and life are slowly becoming established in us.  2 Timothy 2:15:  Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the Word of Truth.
Our world is very different from the world that Timothy knew.  Today's world has many distractions that keep us from deep study of the Word.  Timothy didn't have a tv, computer, video games, movies, cell phone, shopping malls, etc. to divert his attention from God's Word.  A rabbi in biblical times would have disciples (students) who would leave everything--their home, their family, their friends, their territory--and go with the rabbi to learn about God's Word not only through the rabbi's teaching but also through his example.  It was considered an honor to be chosen as a disciple to a particular rabbi.  The person would go with the full blessing of their family because they understood what an honor it was to be a disciple of a rabbi.  How much more are we honored to be a disciple of the Master and Supreme Rabbi--Jesus?  Do we see it this way?  Jesus told His disciples to leave everything to follow Him.  His disciples did.  They walked the territory with Jesus learning of Him through His Words, His actions, His miracle, signs and wonders and His corrections.  They were blessed even though they suffered at times for His cause.  And we are blessed, because we have the Word of God to learn about Him.  These faithful ones wrote it down by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit so we could know the ways of Jesus and His Kingdom as well as be warned of the ways of the devil and the darkness of his kingdom.  Do we cherish that gift in the way that Jesus would have us cherish it?  Do we hunger and thirst after His Word so we may know Him in a deeper and more abiding way?  Have we put the study of His Word first in our lives or are we distracted by the various modern technologies and busyness that our world today offers?  Are we seeking God and His righteousness first or indulging in self-pleasure?  Does Jesus abide in you and His Word abide in you?  Abide means to make it a home.  We do this not just by studying and hearing the Word.  It abides in us when we do it!
                                        Word sent from Elaine Tavolacci

Every one of us wants a closer relationship with Jesus, and most of us want to be used in the gifts of the Holy Spirit which are freely offered as our heritage because of our Covenant with Jesus. But one thing we must understand is that we could never go deeper in our spiritual walk with the Lord than by reading His Word, the Bible. Prayer is also imperative. You could never obtain intimacy with Him without it. Reading the Word is like looking into a diamond with many facets. Some of us see the beauty and the brilliance of it, some of us see the transparency of it but some of us are looking for flaws. There are no flaws in the Word of God. As you allow The Holy Spirit to reveal His love for humanity through His Word, He will reveal revelation to you as you have never known.

The Lord says, you are seeking a spiritual awakening but you are not seeking Me. You are trying to hear My voice but you are listening through other sources. Allow My Word to prepare your heart to receive all that you desire and all that you have been contending for. As you read My Word, you will see yourself as I see you.  As you allow it to possess your thinking, your mind will be renewed and you will be transformed into all that I have called you to be. I have created each one of you uniquely and have placed gifts on the inside of every one of you. Your gifts are unique, your calling is unique and your lifestyle is unique. Everything in your life has been created and strategically designed. Your personality, your character and your physical appearance is all engrafted into what you were called to do. Don't try to impersonate another man or women's ways. Do not try to alter what I have created or conform to the ways of the world but allow My Word to mold you into the masterpiece that I intended for you to be.
Allow My Word to direct you in every area of your life. My Word is My voice. My Word is truth and will never lead you astray. My gifts are available to each one of you, and your heart can not become fertile ground without My Word. My Word will cleanse you of all negativity through the washing of water by the Word. It is time to arise and rekindle your love for Me by studying My Word to show yourself approved.  You have said that you want to go to another level and I will approve of that request. You will view things from a higher spiritual altitude. Just as you would see so much more through a window of a high rise building than you would see through a window in a first story building.  In this same way I am inviting you to come up to another level. Spend time with Me. Spend time in My Word and pray in the Spirit. You will begin to experience so much more in your spiritual life as well as your personal life and ministry says the Lord.
2 Timothy 3:16
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
James 1: 22 - 25
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;  for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.  But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he
